The actualization of comprehensive, continuous, and sustainable development in the country requires understanding the current situation, setting goals, depicting the desired situation, adopting appropriate strategies, extracting, organizing, and unifying human and social resources and capital, and managing society based on logical-scientific practices and methods. Research is the essential and foremost step in the pathway to comprehensive and sustainable development. Iran Mehr: The Institute for Social Study and Research was established in 2002 with the effort of a group of university faculty and the permission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, with the intention of responding to the research needs of the country, the development and expansion of development-related study in social, psychological, economic, political, historical and cultural, administrative, and juridical fields in the country and society of Iran. This institute is active in the departments of political science, economics, counseling and psychology, sociology, management, and history.
